Diploma in Tourism & Hotel Management is Diploma level Hotel Management course. Tourism is travel for recreational, leisure or business purposes. The World Tourism Organization defines tourists as people who "travel to and stay in places outside their usual environment for more than twenty-four hours and not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes not related to the exercise of an activity remunerated from within the place visited." Some of the job openings are with travel agencies, aviation companies, tour operators etc. Self Employment is a widespread job option if the candidates have enough experience and acknowledgment from an established travel agency and thereby can start their own firms.
